2015 Paris Terrorist Attacks - Please read the description before rage-posting

The thing is that the Middle East is will continue to be a shithole as long as extremist factions hold sway over there. And there's little you and I can do about that.

However, France is a relatively peaceful and pleasant country that did not need to be dragged into this. And even though writing words of support over the internet won't do a whole lot in terms of reparations or stopping the problems, it does show them that we care, which can make a world of difference to the right people.

"The problem is that the West has been at war with predominantly Islamic countries for nearly over a decade now."

That statement strikes me as being more ignorant than nearly anything the anti-Islamic crowd has said. The west and other factions have been involved there for AT LEAST half a century, if not longer.

You're kidding yourself if you think the post-9/11 invasion is the cause of these extremists. There's influences from the Soviet Union, USA, UK, Iran, Israel, the ever-shifting number of dictators, and yes Islam too. You're short-sighted if you think it's JUST Islam, but you're also ignorant if you don't think it plays a part in the shitstorm over in the middle east.
