A lot of people are starting to suspect Phil because Cloudflare, his site's host, would require both his phone and his laptop to access that information. Thoughts? Anonymous genstrider Last I checked most two factor authentication systems are optional security layers I also doubt Phil personally manages the website That said, cloudflare is absurdly secure. Like that's their thing A while back Zoe wanted me to help her hack into this very sexist learn-to-program site. I wasn't super comfortable with that, but agreed to poke around anyway to give her a sense of whether or not it was even worth bothering. They were using cloudflare as their CDN and I noticed a few things that seemed to hint at vulnerabilities while poking around so l did some research. I found a huge defcon talk about the class of vulnerabilities -the conclusion to which was that you should use cloudflare because it protects you from that sort of thing for a number of reasons-it turns out the talk was being given by someone who worked on that stuff for cloudflare So yeah basically, I don't know if or how the site was hacked, and I've been out of the security game for too long to speculate, but l imagine that it would probably have been something like 'someone correctly guessed the sysadmins email security questions and just got the login info from there. because cloudflare is actually kind of impressive about its security Holy shot she asked you to hack into something? For legal reasons, I ask that any stories related on this blog without additional evidence be interpreted as meaningless banter for entertainment purposes or blah blah blah

Even though the police will do a good job, it's just not quick enough and not enough people and knowledge.
