Every World Cup, Argentine kids (and for this edition, adults too, something that was mocked in certain circles) have the custom of buying the current official World Cup sticker album which is usually made by Panini. Even the American embassador in Argentina bought one.
Given that this is likely Messi's final World Cup and that Argentina has been having a winning strike (it hasn't lost since July 2, 2019), there has been a shortage of stickers for said album. Even Deutsche Welle from Germany covered this.
The Argentine government has decided to step in and talk with Panini and kiosk owners to make sure people can buy stickers.
The domestic reception for most people was that the government should take care of improving the ever-worsening economy of the country.
