On death and its depiction in the original Sims game

Fatula 1 year ago On death, I want to share a thought I had as a child playing the Sims. I only had one character and well, one day it died. After the grim reaper arrives and takes the soul of your sims, there is no "You died" window or the like. So time goes by super fast. The clock speeds up and the days go by very quickly without us being able to do anything. You don't have a living sim so you can't interact with anything. There is no screen that says "Start over". I remember as a child I stayed like this for a few minutes and then a somewhat dark thought hit me. Death is like that. We die and that's it. Life goes on for others. We are nothing.. All that came to me in an instant when I was a child. It was the first sims. I don't know if much has changed since then. 1.8K REPLY
