The Kinie Ger was a half-man, half-quoll that's sole goal in life was the murder of the innocent.

Much like an actual quoll. Vicious little buggers, they are.

The first of these creatures is the Kinie Ger. The Kinie Ger was a Half-man, half-quoll, and a full bastard who's favourite pastime was watching its victims bleed out. Despite it lack of thought or reason it deploy complex tactics to skewer every living beast alive on its favoured spear. Many brave warriors had gone forth, promising to slay it, but all where found dead. Left just as the other innocent victims of the Kinie Ger.

But one day the Kinie Ger managed to piss of the wrong hunters. He had brutally slaughtered the new born children of Crow and Owl, brothers-in-law through their twin wives. Each little breast decorated with a gaping wound. The two hunters swore to their wives that they would not sleep, drink, or rest until the wicked Kinie Ger was slain.

The two planned an ambush around the local lake and when a dust storm drove the monster to seek refreshment they attacked. Both gave the Kinie Ger a taste of its own medicine and stabbed it repeatedly with their spears. When they where sure it was no-more they burned the body, and a single spark went up to become a star.
But they left some of its blood uncleaned, and the next morning a creature was born from it. That creature was the first quoll, or native cat.
