A MMO-Champion » Forum » World of Warcraft » General Discussions » Banned By Blizzard for Speaking the Truth in the Forums Thread Tools 2021-08-09, 09:59 AM Banned By Blizzard for Speaking the Truth in the Forums maronzoo Keyboard Turner Yesterday, I posted a message in the Blizzard forums about the toxicity of WoW is due to Blizzard turning a blind eye to such topics as white supremacy, racism, right-wing disinformation, promotion of illegal drug use (not talking weed), cyberbullying, etc. Blizzard has always shirked their responsibilities to ensure that the chat channels are free of this stuff. They've always hidden behind the game's rating even though they know all to well that young children play the game. When guild leaders are openly promoting the use of hard drugs, spreading right-wing propaganda, and other topics that impressionable children shouldn't be subjected to in a game, doesn't Blizzard have some responsibility to fix it? Don't they have a responsibility to stop the cyberbullying that goes on in many of the chat channels (particularly the Classic and TBC LookingForGroup channels)? I may be crazy, but I think so. They've made billions of dollars off of us and they're too greedy to hire moderators. Moderation would almost immediately decrease the number one reason people are leaving WoW: toxicity. I and many others have lobbied in the forums for moderators since Vanilla. The people who run Blizzard can't even see that such a simple thing as hiring moderators would add value to the game by stopping a lot of the bleeding of people currently leaving Wow. Join Date: Aug 2021 Posts: 1 At any rate, I guess Blizzard didn't like this and banned me for "trolling". How stating inconvenient truths is somehow trolling somebody is beyond me. I guess Blizzard can dish it out, but can't take it. Big surprise that the frat boys who run WoW are just cowards and can't take the truth. So enough was enough for me. I've played WoW since the beginning and deleted all my toons and asked for a refund. Of course Blizzard refused to refund the remainder of my subscription. Wake up people. Stop giving Blizzard your hard earned money. Boycott all of Blizzard's games until they actually become a responsible corporate citizen and show they actually want to make their games a fun and safe environment for all to enjoy. Unfortunately, I don't think they're actually capable of doing that. Their corporate culture is so toxic they will continue to be treat their customers like dirt. 2021-08-09, 10:04 AM # 2 Moanalisa o Threads such as this are never constructive or really say anything that can be the subject of a discussion. Whatever your issues with Blizzard are, you'll need to work them out with them. Other than that, this is pretty much an "I Quit" thread. Those are against the site rules as well. Spam Assassin!
