I'm Tired of Pretending It's Not

Gardevoir was always my favourite Pokemon growing up. Caught Ralts in Ruby when I first played it and named her Aurelia. Though she was weak, I stuck with her in the hope she’d grow into a Pokemon akin to Alakazam. Kirlia was better. But when I first saw Gardevoir, I immediately loved her style, grace and more importantly, strong attacks. Thanks to Aurelia, I won the Hoenn Elite 4. But when I found out that the only reason other people liked her was because of the rule34, it kind of made saying she was my favourite very awkward. It’s like saying your favourite actress is a porn star. But yeah, I like Gardevoir, not because she’s some Rule34 bait, but because she’s such an awesome Pokemon.
