You Vs. The Guy She Told You Not to Worry About

I had my gall bladder removed at dawn this morning, finally ending a few months of terrible pain. Mine on the left. A gall bladder should NOT look like that one. Gall bladders aren't purple and they should be half that size.

I'm in for a two-week, painful recovery.There will be no bending, no running, no exercise, no lifting with anything but hands, etc. etc. etc., and I'll be banging both Tylenol's active ingredient and Motrin's active ingredient in alternating three-hour periods.

They sliced right through my belly button and stitched it back. My mother argued with me that it wasn't an invasive surgery because the procedure is three or four small incision points. Then it was discovered just how BIG that sucker was.

I for one laughed at my own meme because "it won't stop spooning you" came from a doctor telling me that gall bladders "snuggle (or was it cuddle?) their liver". Every time I read "it won't stop spooning you", I laugh,and now my stomach is hurting because I am laughing.
