    The same recruiting tricks I have used to find jobs before aren't working as well, and I know there are so many in the same boat, many of who are also parents laid off during parental leave. If recruiters are struggling, and we are the experts on how to get a job, I can't imagine how everyone else feels.     mynameisnot_maria 1d I have applied to over 400+ jobs. I've only had around 5 interviews. My last interview was 2 weeks ago for a Jr. Data Analyst position. I was a referral from a director. During the interview, he absolutely made it sound like I was going to get hired. I finally got the rejection today and it was the first rejection that made me cry. I've been rejected over 400 times. It doesn't get any easier. This is the most demoralizing and heartbreaking thing. There's no such thing as upward mobility. 3.2K Q 496
