About

This Edible Ain't Shit (also These Edibles Ain't Shit) refers to a meme format in which a person or a character says "This edible ain't shit," meaning that they don't feel high after ingesting edible marijuana. The second image reveals them experiencing intoxication or hallucinations when the edible begins to take effect. In October 2020, the meme regained popularity with video edits.

Origin

Unlike marijuana taken through smoking, ingesting marijuana via food or drink such as a brownie, cookie, tea, etc. digests through the bloodstream, meaning its effects are less immediate, but last longer and can potentially be more potent than marijuana that's smoked.[1] "This edible ain't shit" would be said by a person refers to the feeling prior to feeling the effects of edible marijuana, and the picture used in the meme depicts their intense level of intoxication after the edible takes effect.
