Be the King of X* refers to a series of greentext memes which list notable misdeeds and achievements accomplished by monarchs and other political leaders. Spawned by a meme about the Prince of Lichtenstein, the format achieved popularity on X / Twitter in early September 2023.

Origin

On September 3rd, 2023, X^[1] user @IrishConservNat posted a pseudo-greentext meme about Hans-Adam II, the Prince of Lichtenstein, vetoing laws trying to legalize abortion. The post (shown below) received over 900 reposts and 10,500 likes in two days (shown below).
